Welcome to Jacobs Tavern at Yergey Brewery at 235 Main Street, Emmaus, PA... February 24th from 2pm to 6pm: Taste special ale brewed by Yergey's and local ciders, cocktails and wine offerings; Break bread with homemade food from Why Not Burgerz;  Enjoy the acoustic sounds by Russ Rentler; There will be a Gift Card Board, Lottery Ticket Board and a 50/50 Raffle; Plus, so much more! And learn more about colonial times in Emmaus and Jacob Ehrenhardt Jr. the builder of the 1803 House! [2024 flier] 

The Friends of the 1803 House will be presenting at the Emmaus Historical Society March Program. "Dig this: The archaeological Dig at the 1803 House Explanined..." The presentation will be on March 21, 2024 at 7:00pm at St. Johns Lutheran Church located at 501 Chestnut Street, Emmaus.  Begun by a teacher of Seven Generations Charter School in 2012, the dig project at the 1803 House, was adpoted by Lehigh University Professor of Archaeology, David Small, and his students from 2014 to 2019.  Over the years, as we peeled back the layers of soil and artifacts we looked for answers to the myster of what the sturcture on the kitchend end of the house could be.  What did we Discover?

Lehigh Valley Passport to History at the 1803 House...July 20th from 10am to 4pm and July 21st from noon-4pm: The Lehigh Valley Passport to History is a celebration of local history, stories, and the community that brings Lehigh Valley history to life. The event gives an opportunity for visitors, to explore local history through a variety of museum tours, interactive exhibits, children’s activities, and more. The 1803 House is currently working on the weekend, so more information to come soon. Go to Summer Events. 

Emmaus Heritage Alliance Festival...sometime in mid-SeptemberOrganized by the Emmaus Heritage Alliance on the grounds of the Emmaus Historical Society at 218 Main Street, Emmaus, PA.  In the past there has been Live Music, crafts, PA Long Rifle Demo, Interactive Displays and games, Wildlands Conservancy and a Blacksmith Demo.   2022 Emmaus Heritage Alliance Festival Flier.

2022...1803 House and Emmaus Events:

July 23rd from 10am to 4pm and July 24th from noon to 4pm... 2022 Lehigh Valley Passport to History: The Lehigh Valley Passport to History Month will be the whole month of July for 2022. It is a celebration of local history, stories, and the community that brings Lehigh Valley history to life. The event gives an opportunity for visitors, to explore local history through a variety of museum tours, interactive exhibits, children’s activities, and more. To date, thirty-six historic sites have signed on to open their doors for free tours, activities and programs for visitors of all ages. The 1803 House will be open on July 23rd from 10am to 4pm and on the 24th from noon to 4pm in participation with this event. The 1803 House will be featuring vintage toys and games with hands on fun for all, an outdoor photo scavenger hunt, personal house tours, archaeological dig news and our herb garden in full bloom. This year we will be featuring an old-fashioned “Peppermint Stick Lemon Squeeze”, which we call “Jacob’s Juice,” and old-fashioned lemonade. Enjoy a drink and snacks under our big Butternut shade tree. The 1803 House is located at 55 South Keystone Avenue, Emmaus, PA. Any questions email friends@1803house.org. July 30th and 31st..."2022 Emmaus Moravian Church Congregation 275th Anniversary Celebration": July 30th dinner and July 31st a "Love Feast" and Picnic. 

September 17th..."2022 Emmaus Heritage Alliance Festival" from 11am to 3pm: Organized by the Emmaus Heritage Alliance on the grounds of the Emmaus Historical Society at 218 Main Street, Emmaus, PA.
